Strengthening Aptitude-Based Admissions
  • From Academic Year 2018, Polytechnics' Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) intake allowance will increase from 12.5% to 15%.
  • ITE will also start the EAE in 2017, for admission into ITE courses from Academic Year 2018.
Learning by Doing
  • A new pathway will be developed for ITE graduates under the SkillsFuture Earn and Learn programme that leads to an ITE-awarded Technical Diploma.
  • SkillsFuture Work-Study Degree Programmes, which are co-designed and co-delivered by companies, will be launched.
New Future-Ready Training
  • The new Future@Work Programme will build awareness, knowledge and competencies needed in the future economy.
  • Such knowledge will include an understanding of emerging technologies, how they impact work, and how to interpret and use data.
