The Chinese Language Entrance Proficiency Test (CL EPT) is applicable for applicants who are being considered for teaching Chinese Language. The Ministry will require applicants to sit for the CL EPT at its discretion. Applicants will be informed to register and sit for the test accordingly.
The test comprises two parts, a speaking component and a writing component. Applicants will be tested on their knowledge in areas such as grammar, vocabulary usage and the stylistic features of the language.
If required to sit for the CL EPT, applicants will be scheduled by the Ministry to take the test. No rescheduling of the test date is allowed unless under exceptional circumstances. Applicants will be notified of the test date, time, venue and payment details by email a week prior to the test.
The cost of the CL EPT is S$145.00 (inclusive of GST). The registration fee is non-refundable. No refund of payment will be given to those who register but are absent or withdraw from the test.
STATEMENT OF RESULT
The Statement of Result indicates if an applicant has met the minimum requirements of the CL EPT. Applicants will receive this document approximately four weeks after the test date. The test result is valid for a period of two years from the date of the test.
