Internet Registration via STEPS-IS
The STEPS - Internet System (STEPS-IS) serves as a convenient channel to facilitate the registration of children. STEPS-IS registration for parents will start from 10 am on 17 November 2017 to 11.59 pm on 21 November 2017 (including weekends). Parents may access STEPS-IS from any internet-enabled personal computer.
Parents can log on to STEPS-IS using the child's BC No / UIN and both parents' NRIC numbers and SingPasses. For details on the internet registration, please refer to the Step-by-Step Guide.
Upon successful registration, parents are required to print and retain a copy of the Acknowledgement Slip. You will be required to use the Acknowledgement Number to view the posting results from the 12 to 18 December 2017.
- SingPass 2-Step Verification (2FA)
Parent who intend to use the STEPS-IS are required to set up their SingPass 2FA. Parents are advised to set up their SingPass 2FA early if they have not done so. For more information on the 2FA setup, please visit the SingPass website.

Registration at Current Primary School
The primary schools will be inviting applications for the 2017 STEPS on 20, 21 and 22 November 2017. Parents / guardians should approach their child's current school and submit their applications through the school between 8 am and 5 pm each day.
For Registration / Amendment / Withdrawal at schools, parents have to produce the following documents for verification:
- Child's Birth Certificate
- Both parents' / guardian's original NRICs with the updated residential address
- Any other supporting documents
What you need to know
The smooth operation of STEPS depends on parents / guardians furnishing correct information in the application especially that of the residential address. To this end, parents / guardians will be required to make an undertaking stating that they have changed their residential addresses between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2017 (both dates inclusive). The address to be used for the registration of children in the STEPS registration should be the parents' official residential address as reflected on their NRICs.
Any transfer of school resulting from false or incorrect information furnished in the application will be nullified and in such an event, the child affected may be posted to any school as directed by the Ministry of Education (MOE).
