Privately-Funded Schools (PFS)
At secondary and junior college (JC) levels, there are three Privately-Funded Schools (PFSs) i.e. Anglo-Chinese School International, St. Joseph’s Institution International High School and Hwa Chong International School. These schools provide alternatives to the national system and adhere to our education policies on bilingualism and National Education (NE). If you are keen to seek admission for your child into a PFS, you may approach the schools directly for admission.
Foreign System Schools (FSS) or Private Education Institutions (PEI)
If your child has been studying overseas for a substantial period of time prior to returning to Singapore and wishes to continue his/her studies in the overseas school curricula, you may apply for admission to the Foreign System Schools (FSS) in Singapore. In view that the FSS are intended to primarily cater to the community of expatriates’ children in Singapore, Singapore Citizens (SC) who wish to enrol in FSS (excluding pre-school) would require MOE’s approval to do so. Any SC application to Private Education Institutions (PEI) would also require MOE's approval.
To apply, you can approach and submit the application directly to the school or institution, with all the supporting documents. If the school or institution is able to offer your child a place, the school will forward the application to MOE. We will evaluate and consider your application on a case-by-case basis and inform the school or institution on the outcome.
