Visit by Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister for Education and Second Minister for Finance, to Brunei Darussalam, 27-28 January 2007
 

1         Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister for Education and Second Minister for Finance, will be visiting Brunei Darussalam from 27-28 January 2007.

2         Mr Shanmugaratnam will meet his counterparts Brunei Education Minister Pehin Dato Haji Abdul Rahman Taib and Brunei 2nd Finance Minister Pehin Dato Haji Abdul Rahman Ibrahim during this trip.

3         Mr Shanmugaratnam will visit Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan to witness student exchange activities with NUS High School for Maths and Science from Singapore.  Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan and NUS High School for Maths and Science are partner schools under the Brunei-Singapore School Twinning Programme

4         Mr Shanmugaratnam will also visit the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) Vocational and Technical Education (VOCTECH) Centre as the President of the SEAMEO Council.
 
5         Mr Shanmugaratnam will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Education on this trip.
