Minister Ng Eng Hen to Visit the US and Canada
Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Education and Second Minister for Defence, will visit the US and Canada from 7 to 16 September 2010. In Washington, he will meet Mr Arne Duncan, US Secretary for Education, as well as thought leaders in the fields of education and international studies. Dr Ng will also visit universities and other education institutions in the US.
In Toronto, Canada, at the invitation of Ontario’s Premier Dalton McGuinty, Dr Ng will attend the “Building Blocks for Education: Whole System Reform” international education summit and deliver a keynote speech.
Dr Ng will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Education.
