President's Award for Teachers 2010 now open for nominations
The Ministry of Education (MOE) invites members of the public to nominate outstanding teachers for the 2010 President’s Award for Teachers. The award will be conferred by the President at the Istana on Teachers’ Day.
Now in its thirteenth year, the President’s Award for Teachers was introduced in 1998 to recognise excellent teachers for their dedication and hard work in developing our young. 41 teachers have received the award to date.

They must demonstrate that they have made exceptional efforts to nurture the spirit of enterprise, innovation and curiosity in our young and develop their potential. They must also be role models of continuous learning and exemplars to both their students and peers in word and deed.
Nomination forms are available at all primary and secondary schools, junior colleges, centralised institute, MOE’s Customer Service Centre at 1 North Buona Vista Drive and Teachers Network at 51 Grange Road. Nomination forms can also be downloaded from the Teachers Network’s website.
