Minister Ng Eng Hen to Attend the 45th Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) Council Conference and 5th ASEAN Education Ministers Meeting
Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Education and Second Minister for Defence, will attend the 45th SEAMEO Council Conference and 5th ASEAN Education Ministers Meeting in Cebu City, the Philippines, from 26 to 29 January 2010.
The SEAMEO Council Conference is an annual meeting of the Education Ministers from the 11 SEAMEO Member Countries, namely Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. The ASEAN Education Ministers Meeting involves the Education Ministers from the 10 ASEAN countries.
Dr Ng will meet with his education counterparts at the sidelines of the Conference to explore further collaborations in education. He will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Education.
