Extension of Period for Applications Under Joint Admissions Exercise

The Ministry of Education (MOE) will be extending the period for applications under the Joint Admissions Exercise to junior colleges, polytechnics, Centralised Institute and Institute of Technical Education till 6pm on Monday, 7th Mar.

Since the registration started from 3pm on Monday, 28th Feb, MOE has been monitoring the application process closely. We have received feedback that many applicants have experienced slowness in accessing the system.

To address this, we have boosted the system capacity. We will also extend the
period for applications till 6pm on Monday, 7th Mar.

As of 4pm today, the ministry has received 17,000 or almost 50% of the expected applications. This is comparable to the percentage received over the same period  last year.

We will continue to monitor the situation and take further measures if necessary, to ensure that all eligible students who wish to participate in the JAE are able to submit their applications.

We would also like to advise students to do their registration as early as they can to avoid the last minute rush.

A list of Q&As is appended at Annex for easy reference.
