VISIT BY MR THARMAN SHANMUGARATNAM, MINISTER FOR EDUCATION, TO INDONESIA, 22 TO 24 FEBRUARY 2005

1. Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister for Education, will be visiting Indonesia over 22-24 February 2005.

2. Mr Shanmugaratnam will meet with Indonesian leaders in the education and economic/financial fields. Mr Shanmugaratnam will also witness the signing of Memoranda of Understanding between Nanyang Technological University and University of Indonesia, and between Nanyang Technological University and Institute of Technology Bandung.

3. He will be accompanied by a delegation of officials from the Ministry of Education, the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Nanyang Technological University.
