PRESIDENT'S AWARD FOR TEACHERS 2005

1        Members of the public are invited to nominate outstanding teachers for this year's President's Award for Teachers. This is the eighth year of the award.  The award will be conferred by the President at the Istana on Teachers' Day, 1 September 2005

2       Nominees must be teachers who are dedicated to the welfare, character and moral development of students. They must demonstrate that they have made efforts to nurture the spirit of enterprise, innovation and curiosity in our young and develop their potential. They must also be role models of continuous learning and exemplars to both their students and peers in word and deed.

3       Nomination forms can be obtained at:

·         any primary or secondary school, junior college or centralised institute;

·         the Customer Service Centre of the Ministry of Education at 1 North Buona Vista Drive; and

·         Teachers Network at 51 Grange Road.

 4       Nomination forms can also be obtained from the Ministry of Education website at www.moe.gov.sg and the Teachers Network website at http://sam11.moe.gov.sg/tn/.

5       The closing date for nominations is 7 March 2005.
