RELEASE OF THE 2002 SINGAPORE-CAMBRIDGE GCE A-LEVEL EXAMINATION RESULTS
1 In October 2000, the Ministry of Education (MOE) announced that it was assuming greater control over the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-level examination with effect from the 2002 examination. MOE has now taken over responsibility for the development of our A-Level examination syllabuses and examination formats, the setting of standards and the award of grades. MOE and University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) have worked together to ensure that the rigorous standards of our A-Level examinations are maintained. The examination results showed that our candidates were able to meet the requirements and changes in the revised syllabuses. Credit must be given to schools and candidates for preparing themselves adequately for the revised examination syllabuses.
