Visit to the United Kingdom by Minister for Education and Second Minister for Defence,
Teo Chee Hean, from 21-27 April 2002

          Minister for Education and Second Minister for Defence, Teo Chee Hean, will be visiting the United Kingdom from 21-27 Apr 2002 with Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry & Education, Tharman Shanmugaratnam. They will be accompanied by MOE officials.

2       The focus of Minister Teo's visit will be the ongoing Junior College/Upper Secondary Review. He will meet British leaders, and visit educational agencies, qualifications and examination authorities and schools. Minister Teo and the British Secretary of State for Education and Skills, the Rt Hon Estelle Morris, will also renew an MOU between MOE and the Department for Education and Skills on educational collaborations in info-communications technology.
