RELEASE OF THE 2000 SINGAPORE-CAMBRIDGE
GCE 'A' LEVEL EXAMINATION RESULTS
1 The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level Examination is conducted jointly by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate and the Ministry of Education.
2 The total school candidature in the 2000 examination was 12,192. Of these, 12,108 or 99.3% obtained at least one `A' level pass.
3 The results of the 2000 and 1999 examinations for school candidates are as follows:

4 A total of 2 433 private candidates sat for the 2000 examination. Of these, 888 or 36.5% obtained at least one `A' level pass. 5 School candidates have been issued their results by their respective junior colleges and centralised institutes. Private candidates will receive their results by post. Private candidates may also access their results through the Internet on the day of release of results. |
