1. Minister for Education RAdm Teo Chee Hean, will be visiting Kuala Lumpur and Penang from 27 Sep to 29 Sep 99. He will be accompanied by Senior Minister of State for Education, Dr Aline Wong and officials from the Ministry of Education.

2. Minister Teo will meet with his counterpart, the Malaysian Minister for Education, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, to discuss issues in education, in particular the Second APEC Education Ministerial Meeting which Singapore will be hosting in Apr 2000. Minister Teo will also be meeting with other Malaysian leaders. Minister Teo will also be visiting the University of Malaya, Tunku Abdul Rahman College and the Universiti Sains Malaysia.

3. In his capacity as President of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) Council, Minister Teo will be visiting the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Education in Science and Mathematics in Penang.
