SCHOOL TERMS AND SCHOOL VACATIONS FOR 1999

The Ministry of Education is observing the following dates as the school terms, school vacations and scheduled school holidays for all primary and secondary schools, junior colleges and centralised institutes for 1999.

School Semesters/Terms

The school semesters/terms for 1999 will be as follows:-

Semester I

Term I : Mon, 4 Jan - Fri, 12 Mar

Term II : Mon, 22 Mar - Fri, 28 May

Semester II

Term III : Mon, 28 Jun - Fri, 3 Sep

Term IV : Mon, 13 Sep - Fri, 19 Nov

School Vacations

The vacation periods will be as follows:-

 

After Term I:Sat, 13 Mar - Sun, 21 Mar

After Term II:Sat, 29 May - Sun, 27 Jun

After Term III:Sat, 4 Sep - Sun, 12 Sep

After Term IV:Sat, 20 Nov - Fri, 31 Dec

 

Scheduled School  Holidays

Youth Day:*Sun, 4 Jul

Day after National Day:Tues, 10 Aug

Teachers’ Day:Wed, 1 Sep

Children’s Day:Fri, 1 Oct

 

* The following Monday will be a scheduled school holiday.
