TEACHERS' DAY RALLY

1. The Ministry of Education will hold a Teachers' Day Rally on Sunday 8 Sep 96 at the World Trade Centre. The Prime Minister, Mr Goh Chok Tong, will address some 4,500 Education Officers, including classroom teachers, Principals, Vice Principals and Education Officers in the Ministry of Education.
2. The Minister for Education, Mr Lee Yock Suan, and the two Senior Ministers of State for Education, Dr Aline Wong and Mr Sidek Saniff, will also attend the Rally.
3. The Prime Minister will present the Value-Added Awards to 34 schools for their performance in the Special/Express and Normal courses at the 1995 General Certificate "O" Level Examination. The programme for the Rally will include a 20-minute cultural performance by the Singapore Chinese Girls' School, Ballet Group and the Anglo-Chinese Junior College choir.
