LAUNCH OF MOE'S NATIONAL COURSE DIRECTORY OVER INTERNET

1. As the latest effort of the Ministry of Education's Public Service 21's initiative to provide quality services to the public, MOE will be including a new information service known as the National Course Directory on the Internet.

2. This service will be the latest addition to a series of 8 services known collectively as the Education Service for the Public (ESP).

3. The National Course Directory will provide a channel for the public to obtain information relating to both full- and part-time courses provided by the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, Nanyang Polytechnic and the Institute of Technical Education.

4. Users will be able to search for the course they are interested in, using criteria such as discipline and entry qualification. Basic information such as duration of course, fees, and date of commencement will be shown. If the institution has further information of the course on Internet, there will be a link pointing to the institution's own web site.

5. The Internet address for this service is http://www.moe.ac.sg/esp/course.

6. With the addition of the National Course Directory, the ESP has the following services :
