Exam dates guided by principle of maximising curriculum time
- We refer to the feedback “School exams start too early” (SM Forum, [telephone hotline], 22 May).
- Schools determine the dates of their internal examinations guided by the principle that schools should maximise curriculum time with their students. Most schools start their Secondary 4 mid-year examinations in early May so that teachers can make use of the remaining time in the school term for post-exam revision and consolidation before their mid-year vacation. Students are expected to attend school after the mid-year examinations.
