Enhanced Registration Framework (ERF) Briefing

Dear Private Education Institutions (PEIs),

The enhanced registration framework (ERF) will be launched towards the end of the year. Under the ERF, private education institutions (PEIs) will have to meet the registration requirements, as well as fulfil the obligations specified under the Private Education Act and Regulations.

To enable PEIs to better understand the legislative requirements and application processes, the Council for Private Education (CPE) is organising a briefing session for interested PEIs.

Programme

The briefing session will be a one-day event comprising 2 Parts as shown in the programme table below:-

Part 1 9.30am – 12 noon	Overview of the enhanced registration framework Transition plans for PEIs Key features of the Private Education Act and Regulations Details on registration requirements, course administration, and advertisement guidelines Duties of the managers
Part 2 2.30pm – 4.30pm	Application processes via OBLS Submission of Smartforms and documents Preparation for inspection and on-site verification of information

We encourage the managers of PEIs to attend the briefing. However, as each Part focuses on different areas, PEIs may wish to send different personnel to attend each part of the briefing session. It would be greatly appreciated if PEIs could sign up for the briefing sessions before 27 Nov 09.

Registration

Registration will be on a first-come-first serve basis and each Part will be limited to 450 participants. A PEI should select one option for Part 1 and one option for Part 2 respectively:-

Venue

The briefing session will be held at SPRING Singapore Building’s Auditorium, Podium Block, Level 3, 2 Bukit Merah Central, Singapore 159835.

Participants are encouraged to carpool as car park lots at SPRING Singapore building, and those at the HDB estate in the vicinity, may be limited.
