ASEAN Scholarships for Malaysia: Secondary Three Scholarships

Applications for the AY2010 ASEAN Scholarships for Malaysia are now closed. We thank all applicants for their interest.

Students from Malaysia who wish to enter Singapore schools at the Secondary 3 level under the ASEAN Scholarships are welcome to apply for the Secondary 3 awards. Candidates who are not short-listed for the scholarships may be considered for the Merit Awards.

Candidates short-listed for the selection test/interview will be notified a week before the selection test / interview dates. We regret only short-listed candidates will be notified.

Scholars selected to attend the bridging course will be required to arrive in Singapore in October 2009.

The selection tests and interviews will be conducted in the following cities:

Terms and Conditions

  1. Allowance of S$2,200 (Secondary) / S$2,400 (Pre-University) per annum with hostel accommodation
  2. Settling-in allowance of S$400 (once only)
  3. Economy class air passage (for East Malaysians) or S$50 transport allowance (for West Malaysians) to Singapore and back to home country upon completion of scholarship term
  4. Waiver of school fees (excluding miscellaneous fees)
  5. Waiver of GCE ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level (or equivalent) examination fees (once only, if applicable)
  6. Subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover
  7. Bridging course (if applicable, in Singapore before start of course)
  8. There is no bond attached to the scholarship
