Science Programmes: Science Focus (SF)
Aim
The aim of SF is to widen the perspectives of interested first-year Junior College and Year 5 Integrated Programmes science students by providing them with fresh insights into the theories and practices of science.
Objective
The objective of SF is to enhance students' understanding of major scientific concepts, theories and practices
Programme Description
The 4-day programme in June each year features a number of electives in the fields of biological, physical and engineering sciences. The electives comprises lectures, group discussion, demonstrations and/or hands-on laboratory sessions. Students choose to enrol in at least 12 hours of electives offered. Classes are conducted on-campus by lecturers/scientists of the National University of Singapore and Research Institutes.

Organisation
SF is a collaboration between the Science Faculty, National University of Singapore and the Gifted Education Branch, Ministry of Education. SF is sponsored by Shaw Foundation.
Target Group
Interested first-year Junior College and Year 5 Integrated Programmes science students.
