Enrichment Activities: Mathematics Seminar
Aim
The Mathematics Seminar aims to extend Upper Secondary School-Based Gifted Education (SBGE) pupils’ interests in tertiary-level Mathematics and create opportunities for them to learn from the experts.
Objectives
- to extend pupils’ interest and knowledge in Mathematics
- to encourage pupils to further their studies in Mathematics when they move on to higher institutions of learning
Programme Description
In this half-day seminar, professors and experts in the field of Mathematics are invited to give a talk on selected Mathematics topics usually covered at the tertiary level.
At the seminar, participants will
- be exposed to the latest developments in Mathematics
- be enriched in mathematical understanding and skills
- learn from Mathematics professors and experts
