Phases of the Direct School Admission Exercise for JC1 and Equivalent level

Offer Stage
JCs may shortlist and make Confirmed Offers to selected students. |

Acceptance Stage
A student may accept only one of his Confirmed Offers by submitting his acceptance form to the same institution. He is guaranteed a place in the institution if he accepts the offer during this stage, as long as he is able to meet the eligibility criteria for JC admission. |

Cooling-Off Stage (28 Jul - 30 Jul)
Students may cancel their Phase 1 acceptances during this stage, if they wish to accept a Phase 2 offer. |

JCs may shortlist and make Confirmed Offers to selected students. |

Acceptance Stage
A student may accept only one of his Confirmed Offers by submitting his acceptance form to the same institution. He is guaranteed a place in the institution if he accepts the offer during this stage, as long as he is able to meet the eligibility criteria for JC admission. Note: A student who accepts a JC offer cannot concurrently accept an offer from a polytechnic via the Direct Polytechnic Admission (DPA) Exercise. A student who was found to have accepted more than one Confirmed Offers (JC and/or polytechnic) would be disqualified from DSA-JC and DPA Exercises. |

Students who wish to participate in JAE and Joint Polytechnic Special Admission Exercise (JPSAE) must submit withdrawals from DSA-JC Exercise 2008 before 3 Oct 2008 by 5.00pm |
