School Planning & Placement Division

Mission

To conduct strategic planning for school placement, and provide responsive and quality support services / systems to schools, students and stakeholders in pupil placement and scholarship matters.

Functions

Development Planning Branch
Reviews and monitors land use planning and land policies that affect schools;
Monitors and reviews demand and supply projections of school places;
Reviews and formulates the framework for implementation of PRIME, relocation, merger and amalgamation of schools
Customer Services Branch
Manages MOE HQ’s Customer Service Centre which provides a one-stop contact point handling all walk-in, call-in, write-in and email-in public requests for information and services on MOE;
Develop service strategies and implement service initiatives in MOE to improve the quality of service delivery across all MOE touchpoints;
Develop and manage MOE’s Knowledge Base System
School Placement and Scholarships
Oversees the placement of pupils to schools through the placement exercises or ad-hoc admission / transfers
Administers scholarship schemes such as MOE Pre-U, ASEAN, Language Elective and Humanities Scholarships and help the scholars assimilate into the society
